The University of Derby is set to host its 6th annual Logistics and Supply Chain Week in February 2019. Join us on 14 February for our practitioners’ conference, including presentations from leading figures in the sector. This year’s conference theme is ‘A competitive supply chain for the future’.
Logistics and Supply Chain Week attracts professionals, academics and students, providing opportunities to share information and the latest thinking in this global industry. Logistics and Supply Chain Week is organised by the University and The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and is just one of a number of ways the University supports the logistics sector.
Registration is at 5.30pm with tea and coffee, the event will conclude at 8pm with light refreshments and networking (please note a range of dietary requirements will be catered for).

About the speakers
Richard Brown CBE
Richard was chief executive of Eurostar UK from 2002 to 2011, and the chair until June 2013.
He was previously commercial director and main board member of National Express Group plc, where he set up its trains division, at the time the largest UK passenger franchise operator. Richard has 40 years’ experience in the rail industry and was a director of Intercity before privatisation. He is currently a non Executive Director of Network Rail Ltd and of HS2 Ltd, and previously of the Department for Transport.
Richard has honorary doctorates from the Universities of Derby and Westminster. He was appointed CBE in 2007 for services to transport.
